About Me

- I was born in Elgin, IL and grew up in a small town called Hampshire, IL. My three brothers, mother and father lived out in the country and collected fresh eggs every morning until I was a teenager. I attended the University of Iowa in Iowa City, and obtained a degree in Communications. I moved to CO and met my husband, Brent, and had a daughter Sophia and have another one on the way mid-April 2009. I plan on writing more cookbooks in the future, as well as children's books.
